ABOUT

Toukley & Districts Art Society

Our History

Founded in the early 1980s, Toukley & Districts Art Society has been a cornerstone of the local art scene, fostering creativity and community. Over the decades we have hosted numerous exhibitions, workshops and community events, each contributing to the rich tapestry of ur society’s history. Our mission has always been to support and promote local artists, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and connect with art enthusiasts.

From our humble beginnings in a small community hall to our current gallery space, TADAS has grown and evolved, reflecting the dynamic nature of the art world. Key milestones include the establishment of our annual art awards, the expansion of our gallery, and our ongoing commitment to educational and social programs. Our impact on the art community is evident in the thriving local art scene and the many artists who have found their voice through out society.

we are a totally volunteer run gallery

The Gallery runs on volunteer muscle, and we welcome more people to spread the load. It may be in the office, on the display team, helping organise events or helping in the kiosk. It’s a fun and interesting way of making new friends and learn more about this wonderful gallery.

Just a few hours a month would be much appreciated and make a big difference.
Please contact the Gallery (4392 4666) for more information or drop in for a chat.
