BEADED BRILLIANCE with Leonie Loewe
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Leonie Loewe is a Central Coast born and bred artisan and a highly experienced teacher whose jewellery designs have been featured in Australian magazines including Cleo, NW and Bride to Be. With over a decade of experience designing and handcrafting original accessories, Leonie brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for teaching to the studio. Her designs are a harmonious blend of timeless glamour and contemporary flair.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
In this relaxed class, you will learn the basics of beading on wire, attaching clasps, making loops, working with tiger tail plus design basics to make your pieces pop. You will go home with 2-4 finished pieces ready to wear or gift. We will aim to complete 4 projects – 2 x earrings, 1 x Bracelet, 1 x Necklace. You can choose glass beads in coordinating colours. I usually recommend making all four in coordinating colours – if you prefer, each project can be a different colour – just make sure you bring along enough beads. Glass beads are recommended.
MIXED MEDIA, COLLAGE & ACRYLICS with Denise Painter
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Denise’s creative journey commenced in 1993 when she decided to be a ‘stay at home mum’. She began to explore creative possibilities and enrolled in various courses such as Colour and Design and Graphic Design, and, later on Visual Arts at TAFE. Over the last 25 years she has developed a unique style and now loves to create works using Collage and Mixed Media techniques. My works are handcrafted or created using digital techniques.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Attendees will learn how to design the layout of their work, the colours and textures to be used, design techniques such as shatter etc. Attendees will be encouraged to think outside the square to create a unique work using mixed media including papers such as tissue along with acrylics.


AUTUMN IN JINGELLIC – Pastels with Judith Hoste
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Judith is an award-winning artist and teacher. Judith works and teaches in all mediums and started teaching full time from 1985 until 2022. She now tutors workshops when invited. Judith exhibits annually in local, country and interstate exhibitions.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Working from a photograph, participants will be working with soft chalk pastels mainly and using hard chalk pastels for the finer details.
THE ART OF FELTING with Tracey Scheitel
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tracey studied at Newcastle University majoring in Teaching and Fine Art, she studied felting in her textile studies and has made some interesting item over the years. Tracey is an accomplished artist and teacher, having exhibited in several galleries on the Central Coast and has successfully sold many of her artworks.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Students will be introduced to the Art of felting and be guided in the different processes involved in creating a piece of felted material. The students will learn about the history of felting and how it was discovered , then try their hands at placement of the wool fibres to build up thickness and colour combinations. Then students will be guided on the wet process of felting in small increments. Dry felting will also be explored.


PYROGRAPHY – Wood Burning with Beck Griffiths
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Beck is a self-taught artist, creating primarily with pyrography (wood burning) and acrylic paints. She’s passionate about bringing recycled objects to a new life, turning scrap wood, live edge timber, and skate decks into quirky pieces of art – always learning and adapting her style as she goes.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
In this engaging workshop, you will learn the art of Pyrography. Let your creativity flow as you explore the intricate techniques of transforming wood into works of art.

Frequency and Booking
Sunday classes are held once a month. Bookings can be made by completing the online form or through the gallery. Confirmation of a place in the class is dependent on payment being made.
Details and Requirements
Details of supplies required for each session can be obtained from the gallery once enrolment is complete. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided, and participants are asked to bring their lunch or purchase light snacks from the kiosk.
Costs and Refunds
TADAS Member $40, Non-Member $60. Enrolment is confirmed when payment is made. Special workshops are priced accordingly, with costs available from the gallery. Day class fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another workshop. However, a replacement participant organized by the original registrant will be accepted.
Arrival and Start Time
All classes run from 10am to 3pm with a 30 minute break for lunch.
Participants are requested to arrive at 9.30am to set up their workspace before the 10am start time.
